OFFICIAL PRESS KIT
PUPILAS is a Chilean garage rock duo formed by Fuad Mauad (guitar and vocals) and Marita Araya (drums). Since its formation in 2022, the band has developed a proposal of forceful riffs, direct melodies and an energetic staging.
DEBUT
His debut came in 2022 with the single Bonnie & Clyde and an authorized version of Cielo by Buddy Richard. That same year they presented themselves at the Musician's Day held at the Concha Acústica de Coquimbo, an event organized by the Illustrious Municipality of Coquimbo.
In 2022 they get first place at the Give Me the Hand Festival with a musicalization of the poem Noche de Gabriela Mistral, published in 2023 and mastered by Francisco Holzmann (Holz Masters).
In 2026 they released the single No Te Tapes Los Oídos. The mastering work of the song, carried out by Chalo González, was recognized with the Latin Talent Award for Best Mastering in Rock Song in Madrid, Spain.
The essence of the duo is to break the barrier of the traditional, you don't need many musicians on stage to sound great.
